Wang Zihao began his career as a cellist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in 2015. In 2022, he was appointed as a guest cellist for the Singapore International Violin Competition, where he shared the stage with pianist Albert Tiu and violist Miguel de Silva.
Based in Singapore, Zihao has performed numerous successful solo and chamber concerts across Singapore, Europe, and China. He has played in renowned concert halls such as the Philharmonie Berlin, Frauenkirche Dresden, the National Center for the Performing Arts of China, Victoria Concert Hall, and Esplanade Concert Hall, among many others. His accolades include First Prize at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concerto Competition and the Outstanding Performance Prize at the Alice & Eleonore Schoenfield Music Competition.
As a chamber musician, Zihao was invited to join the T’ang Quartet, one of Southeast Asia’s most distinguished professional string quartets. Currently, he serves as an Artist Faculty member at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. He is also a faculty member at the School of Young Talent, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).
