The 2023 Music Singapore Award Ceremony & Gala Concert featuring selected winners of the 2023 Music Singapore International Piano & Violin Competition; and featuring guest performers - Dr. Poom Prommachart, T'ang Quartet and Toby Tan Kai Rong.

About Dr. Poom Prommachart

Steinway Artist, Poom Prommachart is born in Thailand. Besides being an international pianist, Poom is currently an Assistant Professor at the University College of Fairview in Malaysia, the Artistic Director of the Steinway Youth Piano Competition in Thailand and the Brand Ambassador of Kaimirra Tutan.

In 2022, Poom received the ‘Rector’s List of Honour for the Most Exceptional Graduates’ from the University of Montreal’s Doctor of Music programme. He received his Bachelor of Music degree, Master of Music degree, and Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music in London (RCM) in 2014 on a full scholarship sponsored by H.R.H Princess Galyani Vadhana of Thailand and the RCM which He obtained the most coveted Tagore Gold Medal during his time in London, which was handed to him by His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, upon graduation. Subsequently, He also studied the Moscow Conservatory in Russia.

About  T'ang Quartet

Constant innovation and steady reinvention is the name of the game for the T'ang Quartet. For 30 years, the group's musical dexterity has surprised and delighted audiences locally and globally. Based in Singapore, T'ang Quartet is one of the best known and most accomplished string quartets in Asia. The name "T'ang" symbolises the golden age of cultural expression of the Tang Dynasty, an acknowledgement of their Asian root – also a playful reference to the last names of the present and former founding members.
