Dr. Stefan Giglberger, a distinguished graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, has served as the principal cellist of the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin since 1997. Influenced by luminaries such as Lynn Harrel, Wolfgang Böttcher, and David Geringas, he has garnered acclaim as a soloist, collaborating with renowned orchestras including the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Berlin, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, and Berlin Sinfonietta.

Throughout his career, Stefan has shared the stage with esteemed musicians such as Jörg Widmann, Anna Gourari, Fazil Say, Julia Fischer, and Sol Gabetta. Alongside his international performance schedule, he imparts his expertise as a faculty member at the Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin and as a lecturer for prestigious institutions including the Young German Philharmonic and the Federal Youth Orchestra. Stefan also contributes to the Aldeburgh Music Festival and conducts masterclasses worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the next generation of musicians.
